When I woke up this morning, the temperature in my part of San Francisco was 53 degrees Fahrenheit. At the same time, the temperature in Delhi was 53 degrees Celsius. If anyone tells you that climate change is a hoax, show them the temperature records for the past four decades.
When I was a teenager, 40 degrees Celsius was high during the summers, though we did encounter 45 degrees Celsius occasionally. It is simply insane to think that my friends and family are now experiencing over 125 degrees Fahrenheit days routinely.
The intense heat makes me feel guilty about asking people in Delhi to view my photography. I am part of a group show in Delhi, where four of my artworks are on display. This is my first public exhibit. If you are in Delhi and have some time and inclination, I would love for you to visit the show — but given the heat, I understand if you prefer to stay indoors.
